Work highlights in Education
As Founder-Director of Auro Mirra International School, Bangalore (www.amis.auroschools.org) Conceptualised, designed, and built this unique school. Raised funds, guided CBSE affiliation, and recruited, trained, and supervised staff including the principal.
Served as (founder) Head of School, of RBK International Academy, Ghatkopar, Mumbai, when it was a new international school offering the IB PYP, MYP, and IBDP curricula as well as Checkpoint and IGCSE. This includes all Head responsibilities, including getting authorization for the programmes, establishing all procedures and policies, recruitment, etc. I continued teaching TOK (Theory of Knowledge) and IBDP English A1 along with my duties as principal.
Served as founder IBDP Coordinator and member of set up team of MIT’s Vishwashanti Gurukul, Pune. I have been involved in successfully securing authorization (IBDP) from the IBO by taking new staff through the entire authorization process, being the founder IBDP Coordinator.

I was an Examiner for TOK with the IBO.
An overall teaching experience spanning over 15 years, with IBDP English A1 and TOK for 8 years, (also IGCSE) and other Indian boards (CBSE and ICSE) in residential and day institutions.
Successfully founded the Theory of Knowledge department/team of teachers and implemented the TOK course in four IB world schools in India. Obtained excellent results in both TOK and English exams, while using innovative and interactive teaching methods.
Received IBO training in: IBDP Coordination; ENGLISH A1 – Level 1; TOK Level 1; TOK Level 2 & 3 Also attended SAIBSA meets, job-alike sessions, seminars, Head meetings etc. Attended several professionally enriching workshops including (in-school) MYP training, conferences, meetings etc. as part of the various positions held.
Other Education related achievements
Conducted research and written a dissertation on Epistemology/Theory of Knowledge (Nature of Knowledge: Changing Paradigms) as a part of my M.Ed. course, Delhi University.
A qualified and experienced teacher-educator with M.Ed. (NET qualified), I have imparted in-service training to teachers in schools.
Designed and conducted teacher-education course/curriculum with a holistic approach.
Contributed to the pastoral, co-curricular and the literary life of the institutions by organising literary clubs, wall magazines, debates, producing plays etc.
Possess an excellent academic record with awards, scholarships, honours and important offices held at university level.
Conducted several workshops/training sessions with teachers and students on important educational topics in in-house training and as independent sessions.
Have published articles and poetry (since 1990) in reputed national newspapers, magazines; active in various activities centering around the celluloid media such as making documentaries, programmes as well as some stage activities. (portfolio available).
